In September 2004, EEI successfully graduated from the Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé program with ATK Missile Systems Company as their mentor, providing financial, managerial, and technological assistance. In December 2004, EEI was approved with a second Department of Defense Mentor-Protégé program with Lockheed Martin as their mentor, which will be for a three year term. Under this program Lockheed will transfer the electronic manufacturing technologies to EEI to enable EEI to support the significant advances in semiconductor packaging, circuit card assembly and information collaborative integration.

Celebrating its 11 year anniversary, EEI was founded in 1993 by Susan Englander and is a woman owned, small 8(a) disadvantaged HUBZone certified business. As president of the company, Ms. Englander brings over 30 years of experience in electronics.
